Our mission is to educate ourselves and others in the lifestyles of our predecessors during the time period 1750 – 1794. An era that witnessed great change in our country’s history and encompassed two defining wars; the French & Indian War, as known as the Seven Years War, and the American Revolutionary War.
Unit members portray the life of militia frontier’s men or women from the time of the French and Indian War, and through the strife and hardship of the American Revolutionary War and subsequent Indian Wars.
We use traditional skills and crafts not only at public living history demonstrations and historical reenactments, but also at weekend treks, canoe trips, and in many cases, everyday life.
Our clothing and kit are made to the highest standard and involve the techniques prevalent at the time portrayed, with much research, to ensure accuracy and authenticity.
